Kyri Joan is 2!!!
Our baby has been in our lives for 2 whole years already! Time flies! In some ways it feels like she was just born a few months ago, but then it's hard to remember life without her. So, it feels like she's been around forever. What I do know is that these past two years have been some of the best in my life! Kyle and I are having so much fun watching K.J. grow up. She cracks us up every day and continues to amaze us with the things she says and does. We're so lucky to have her as our little girl!
We've had a fun-filled birthday week. It started out last Sunday with a family birthday party for Kyri.
Kyri woke up from a nap to find a house full of people and this new car waiting for her!
This is one of my favorite pictures of the night. Kyri was in her own imaginary world playing with her toys while Aubry and I continued to open presents.
Who thought blue frosting was a good idea?
At the end of the party Grandpa and Kyri decorated some Christmas cookies.
December 17, 2010...The Actual Birthday!!
Kyle and I got off work an hour early, so we were able to get some celebrating in before Kyri went to sleep tonight. We started with a haircut...the first haircut!! Kyri sat in the car willingly at first. But when the lady started combing her hair, she got a little nervous. A sucker calmed her down and did the trick!
Here's the finished product!
(I know it doesn't look too different from the front, but the back is finally all the same length. No more tail!)
After the haircut, we went to dinner and got a birthday milkshake. Then it was time to...
Visit Santa!!!
Oh, Santa, you're so funny!
Posing for the photographer. Much happier than last year! (I haven't scanned the professional picture in yet, but it's basically this same pic only at a different angle.)
We couldn't hear what they were talking about, but they were going on and on, both with hands waving around. It was so cute to see her talking to Santa and feeling so comfortable!
Here are some videos of Kyri's birthday party. Kind of long, but so glad we captured them on video. Great memories!
Happy Birthday, Kyri Joan!
Happy Birthday Princess! We love you so much!!

ReplyDeleteI had no hair when I was a baby, I was lucky if I got my first haircut by 3 haha. I was terrified of Santa too, for years and years.
