Girls, Girls, Girls

We had the Riebes over tonight for dinner. Jake and Beth went to Eastern with Kyle. They have a three year old daughter, Emily, and one year old twins, Madison and Jillian. Kyri had a blast playing with all of her friends. Can't wait to add one more girl to the mix next year!

Bears Sunday

We had some friends over for the first game. I have to say that I didn't really watch the game (the big sports fan that I am), but I hear that the Bears didn't do anything impressive. I enjoyed playing with all the kids instead. It was great to get everyone together.

Kyri went to her first tumbling class today. She liked the first 20 minutes of it, but she got sick of me having to help her through the obstacle coarse and shut down for the last five minutes of class. No joke...she kept asking to "dance". They were supposed to be rolling and bear crawling though instead, and she didn't get into that as much. Here are a couple quick videos...

We went to a fest in Villa Park tonight to get some food, and Kyri got a taste of her first carnival rides. She loved them so much and cried when the rides were over. We didn't bring our regular camera, but we had the video camera.

My Little Ballerina

I stole this picture from Kay's blog, but I just had to post it because look at those pointed toes!! Like mother, like daughter. She walks on her tip toes and sits with her toes pointed all the time. We must have a future dancer, right??

This was taken when Kay's mom, Grandma Karen, was so kind to watch both girls while my mom was in Peru. They're watching Mickey, of course! Such sweethearts.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend we went up to the lake. It was different to be wearing sweatshirts and long pants while we were there, but we still made it out on the boat quite a bit. And Donna and I each caught a fish! Here are some pictures of Kyri and Charlie collecting sticks for our campfire.

Done collecting sticks, now time to run off some energy!

Charlie, the model!

Even though it was cooler out, fair-skinned Kyri still needed to wear the sun hat. She's going to hate the hat pictures when she's older, but I think she looks cute in her little Gilligan hat!
An attempt at a posed shot of the cousins...didn't go so well.
