It's hard to believe that 7 years ago it was 50 degrees with no snow on the ground. That was the day I married my best friend. I'm so lucky to have someone who takes such good care of me and does so much for our family. I don't know what I'd do without him. Happy Anniversary, Ky!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
We had an amazing Christmas weekend. We are so blessed to have such a loving family on both sides. Christmas is always a fun time, but this year it was even more special through Kyri's eyes! She loved everything about Christmas and would make her voice high and squeaky every time we talked about anything that had to do with the holiday. Here are some of her cute quotes from this weekend...
"These are beautiful decorations!"
"Look at the wonderful holiday lights!"
"Have to be nice or Santa won't come."
"It's Christmas Eve!" (She said this every day the whole week before.)
Singing, "Say hello, to friends you know" in the car all the time.
Singing, "Jolly Jolly Christmas" through the halls at Grandma B's house.
"Make a wish!" Every time she saw a candle.
"These are all my friends...everybody's here altogether!" (When the families got together.)
"Aww, thanks, how fweet (sweet)!" With her head tilted to the side.
"I'm a lucky girl!"
And she is a very lucky, blessed girl. Thank you so much to everyone for loving our little girl so much and making her Christmas so "wonderful!"
Here are a ton of pictures to recap our festive weekend...
Christmas Eve
Kyri and I decorated chocolate covered pretzels.
Posing with Grandma B and Grandpa Larry
All dressed up for Christmas Eve at Uncle Owen's and Auntie Donna's house.
Christmas Morning
Ozzie's candy cane bone from Santa.
Christmas Day
As soon as Aubry and Kyri walked into Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Mike's house, they ran to these unwrapped presents and started playing.
This new lion moved and made noise. Kyri went around telling everyone that it wasn't real, but we're pretty sure she thought it was. She was talking to it and feeding it all night.
The Day After Christmas
We went over to Grandma B's and Grandpa Larry's for some more fun!
Kyri trying out her new princess sleeping bag and pillow.
We took tons of videos, too. I'll post those later. Check back soon!

Train Ride to the City
We took the train downtown tonight to see the Christmas windows at Macy's and to wander around the Christkrindle Market. It seems that everyone else in the world decided to do the same thing today. It was extremely crowded! But Kyri had fun with her Grandpa Mike and Grandma Nancy.
Grandma and Grandpa showing Kyri the windows
Kyri absolutely loved the train. She was especially fascinated on the way down to the city because it was still light out and she could see out the windows. She kept yelling, "All Aboard!"

We Love Christmas Break!
Another fun-filled day on our break! We played in the snow again, painted, spent the afternoon with Auntie Chrissy (my friend from work), and then eventually walked through downtown Elmhurst to look at the decorations (no pictures there, though.)
We built this weak snowman. Kyri was excited about it, though...until Ozzie ate his arms!
After we came in and warmed up, Kyri got to use her new paints from Uncle O, Auntie Donna, and Charlie.
