Ducks

We just went to the lake for a few days, and the highlight of the trip was going on the boat and looking for ducks. Kyri would call for them in the sweetest little voice. Luckily we did see quite a few! This isn't the best video, but I did catch her calling, "duuuucks" at the beginning of it. As you'll see, she is very serious while she's duck hunting.

Morton Arboretum

Thursday we went to the Morton Arboretum Children's Garden with Grandma Nancy, Kay, Aubry, and Aubry's Grandma Karen. The weather was gorgeous! The girls splashed in the little ponds and played in the fountains. I didn't get very many pictures, but I will update this post when I get some from the others who went.

The girls loved playing with the rocks in this fountain. They were throwing them in like they were racing a clock on a game show!

Such a Girl

I think this picture is hysterical. Kyri has her bear and my purse, and she is ready to go. I love how she's walking on her tip toes like she is wearing high heels and walking the runway. There's no doubt that she's all girl!

I took this video on my way out to Geneva. Kyri talked the entire car ride. I grabbed my flip video camera and just aimed in the back seat hoping I was filming her. She has a mirror in front of her car seat, so she was talking to the cute little girl in the mirror. : ) When I first started filming, Kyri noticed the camera, so she said "cheese" and got kind of quiet. If you jump to the middle of the video, you'll really see her in action. Not really sure what the conversation was all about, but I can pick out a few words here and there. Although Kyri gets shy in public, she talks like this ALL the time around us. It cracks us up!

DuPage Children's Museum

Kyri and I went on a fun outing with Uncle B, Auntie Kay, and Aubry to the DuPage Children's Museum last weekend. I only got a few pictures, but the girls had a ton of fun. There are so many things for them to do. I think Uncle B liked playing and building things as much as the girls did!

Happy Birthday, Coop!

Dan and Gina's son, Cooper, celebrated his 1st birthday today. It was so much fun!

The Adorable Birthday Boy
Look at this awesome pool Cooper got for his birthday!
Kyri thought it was pretty cool at first...
until she got splashed...
"Come on, who splashed me??"
Then she decided it was more fun to watch the big kids from outside of the pool.
The Big Man
Coop and Kyri fixin this car - good teamwork!
Coop got this neat picnic table, and Kyri thought she owned it!

Somebody liked the cake!!!!
Mmmmmm, blue frosting!!!
Enough with the pictures already. Just let me eat my cake!
Birthday parties are awesome!!!
Yay! I'm 1!
Thanks for letting us be a part of your party, Coop. We love you!

The Zoo

Kyle got me a membership to the zoo for my birthday, so we've gone twice now. The first time Kyle, Kyri, and I went. Then a week later Donna, Charlie, Kyri, and I went. It was so cute to see the girls this year. Last year they just people watched, but this year they actually paid attention to the animals and were so excited to see them up close and personal! They waved to them and made all the animal sounds they knew. Some highlights were the seals, the elephants, the zebras, the giraffes, and of course the favorites - monkeys!

Garden Fairies

For those of you who did not get the emails from Grandma Nancy, I thought I'd post some of these sweet photos from the last photo shoot of the cousins... Kyri and Aubry.
